Neil Young & Crazy Horse have been on a tear lately: besides releasing two studio albums this year, they’ve put out a lot of music videos lately. This week, they’ve released two new music videos for songs from their upcoming album Psychedelic Pill.
A short news item says “The third episode of A Rust Trilogy, which began with Rust Never Sleeps in 1978, and continued with Weld in 1990, now concludes with Alchemy in 2012. Things have changed, yet they stay the same. Alchemy, like Rust and Weld, finds the boys at another stage of life’s journey. Time has taken its toll, yet the spirit seems unstoppable.”
Neil Young and his long time-band Crazy Horse are about to release their second album of the year: Psychedelic Pill will follow Americana by less than five months when it is released on October 30. Psychedelic Pill, as previously reported, will be a double album (or a 3 LP set), and there will be a video for each of the album’s songs.
Confirming wide-spread rumors, Neil Young and Crazy Horse will release their second record of 2013 this October, a double album called “Psychedelic Pill.”
Young has famously resisted leaning too much on his greatest hits when he tours. While he generally plays a couple of his well known songs, he has never been tethered to any song in particular when he performs. And when he has new material, he’s generally pretty enthused about it. But so far, just one Americana song has made the setlist: “Jesus’ Chariot.”
