CBS Local spoke with Stone Pony booker Kyle Brendle, who described the scene at the historic venue. “Our property’s basically OK, the outside lot the fences were torn down, and debris, but that’s all small stuff,” he said. “We found weird stuff on the roof, toilet seats, someone’s chimney… There’s a little bit of sand and water got through our entrances, but we’re in great shape. We’re ready to go when there’s power.”
Tonight, an all-star lineup of music legends will take the stage at New Jersey’s Izod Center for the “Love For Levon” concert. The concert, paying tribute to the late drummer/singer Levon Helm from The Band will feature Roger Waters, Joe Walsh and Gregg Allman, among others. The event website also mentions that other “legendary surprise guests” will perform. But who might those guests be?
Bruce Springsteen is lending his words and image to a web-based campaign to pass same-sex marriage initiatives. “The marriage-equality issue should be recognized for what it truly is — a civil rights issue that must be approved to assure that every citizen is treated equally under the law,” Springsteen says on The Four 2012’s online ad.
