John Lennon would have been 75 this Friday October 9th.

His widow, Yoko Ono attempted to set a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest human peace sign in New York City’s Central Park yesterday (Oct 6).

“New York was a very special place for John–his adopted home — and I’m so happy that the John Lennon Bus is there to celebrate his 75th birthday,” Ono said in a prepared statement.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit mobile Pro Audio and HD video recording studio, participants in yesterday’s event were asked to make a donation.

Although they did not break the world record, over two thousand people did show up, and the results were pretty impressive, as you can see from the drone footage below.
