Lent comes to end this Thursday – so Catholics will go back to eating meat on Fridays.
But, if you’d like to keep the tradition going all year, some dietitians suggest trying out “Meatless Monday’s.”
The goal is to decrease the amount of saturated fat in our diets. You can start Meatless Mondays with some eggs or cereal and add some Greek yogurt or fruit.
Instead of lunch meat, put some hummus in a sandwich instead.
You can also trade the chicken in your salad for some beans or have a vegetable-based soup.
For dinner? While-wheat pasta can be a great option…or go with a bean burger or bean burrito.
What do you think????
