This could have been so bad.
Earlier this week, a man exiting a train at a railroad station in Perth, Australia, slipped and got his leg caught in the gap between the platform and train door.
The engineer was immediately told not to move the train, as the remaining passengers exited through other doors. The railroad’s staff then organized them to rock and tilt the train backwards away from the platform so the man could be freed.
They did, he was, and the entire incident was captured on video.
Great teamwork – and a little luck.
