Feeling KOOL – Skin Cancer

A new report blames sunbathing and tanning beds for rising rates of skin cancer. 

 

The acting U.S. Surgeon General issued a report about the dangers of tanning on Tuesday.  It cites a 200 percent increase in skin cancer cases since 1973. 

Dermatologists also say they’re seeing an increasing number of young patients with skin cancer. 

Five-million people are treated each year for skin cancer, though doctors say the disease is mostly preventable.
