The best music for workouts

French researchers studied women who were told they were walking to test a new mp3 player.  They found the women chose healthier and less food at the end of their walk.  Researchers got similar results when telling women they were just sightseeing at a college campus.  Overcompensating for intense workouts with extra food is a known phenomenon.

The research suggests various ways to make exercise fun.  Among them are making exercise a game and transforming workouts into social events.
