How good does it feel to have people give you a compliment? Do you get red in the face and shy, or do you simply say “thank you” and take it in? Bottom line is that getting a compliment is a good thing. It boosts your self-esteem, and makes you feel good. Now, do you pass along a compliment after you get one? Do you go out of your way to say “thank you”? Maybe to the guy who made your coffee in the morning or the grocery store cashier…do you pass along the compliment? It feels just as good to give as it is to get. Giving a compliment, and knowing that you made someone’s day, or hour, or minute…it has to make you feel good.
What can you do to make yourself feel good, and what simple things can you DO to make OTHERS feel good? These things are very simple, really. I think feeling “GOOD” is major part of happiness and can help you excel at everything you do. Since I have been losing weight with Red Mountain Weight Loss, I have been feeling better than “good”, I have been feeling “GREAT”! I have a smile on my face, and saying “Hi” and “Thank You”, and just basically having a feeling of accomplishment put me in a better space or piece of mind.
If you are trying to get healthy, maybe get more active, or eat better, or even lose some weight, remember that feeling good is half the battle. It does not matter what number the scale says, or how many miles at the end of the week you walked or how many crunches you did, it’s about feeling good. Did you feel better looking in the mirror? How about after that walk? How about just eating healthier and taking charge of what you put in your body? Feeling good starts the entire process. You feel good when you leave the house for work, then you smile and say hello and thank you as you get your coffee and head to the office. Meetings fly by and before you know it, you are at the end of your day, you are alert and feeling GREAT! Good for you! Keep up the hard work. Yes, hard work. This is not easy at all, but it sure pays off. Think of how feeling effects not only you, but everyone around you! It’s contagious! Spread the “GOOD”!
If you are looking for some help to get you into this space, I recommend seeing the GREAT people at Red Mountain Weight Loss. I admit that I was a bit hesitant about medical weight loss. I really did not know what to expect. But after trying to go at it by myself for so many years, I finally gave in. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. Visit their website at redmountainweightloss.com. Look at all the programs they can offer you and what great about this is that they will customize a program specific to your needs. It’s helping me, and now my wife Sandra is doing it as well. Bottom line, get yourself out there and remember you are in charge of making yourself feel GOOD! And when you do, you will make other feel GOOD too!
