Oh My. Amazing.
My daughter Mia is turning 15 years old today. I have everything to be thankful for. My family is very blessed. She is a great student and an amazing young lady. We love her very much. I am going through my daily routine here at the station, and I found this story from the Huffington post. I have to share this with you. As a parent, this hits home. As someone who has lost their parents, this hits home. As someone who has lost a parent unexpectedly, and from cancer…this hits home. And with my daughters 15th birthday today, it really hits home.
This is a story about an 11 year old little girl named Josie. Her father Jim, will not be able to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. He has was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He and his wife Grace hired a photographer named Lindsey Villatoro to take pictures. Lindsey is the founder of Love Song Photography. Her photography follows her clients who are terminally ill. She takes pictures for the families so they have great memories of their loved ones.
Lindsey took pictures of the family, but she went a step further. She took the pictures of the family and posted them on her website. She asked for donations to help create a fantastic birthday for young Josie. She made a wedding for the little girl complete with the dress, flowers, and even a promise ring. Josie’s father walked her down the aisle. This video is amazing. Thank you for sharing this story.
