Spring Training baseball begins tomorrow when the Dodgers come to Salt River Fields! It’s one of our favorite times of the year when we fake a little cough while calling the boss to saying we’re too sic to come in today. Then grabbing our ball gloves and heading to the park!
In honor of the Cactus League, it was all about baseball today on Top Ten Tuesday! In case you missed any of the songs today, here’s how things worked out…
6am #10 White Rabbitt – Jefferson Airplane
D-Back’s Pitcher Trevor Cahill’s walk-up song
7am #9 Start Me Up – Rolling Stones
Just one of the best “Stadium Songs!”
8am #8 Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love – Barry White
Heard during the “Kiss Cam” at Salt River Fields.
9am #7 Glory Days – Bruce Springsteen
This one’s about the lyrics… “I had a friend was a big baseball player back in high school.
He could throw that speedball by you
Make you look like a fool boy”
10am #6 Spirit In The Sky – Norman Greenbaum
D-Back’s outfielder A.J. Pollock’s walk-up song!
11am #5 Hound Dog – Elvis
Heard during the Hot Dog Races at Salt River Field
Noon #4 Na Na Hey Hey – Steam
Pulling the pitcher!
1pm #3 Boys of Summer – Don Henley
Kinda explains itself.
2pm #2 That’s The Way It Is – KC / Sunshine Band
Heard during the 7th inning at Salt River Fields
3pm #1 Centerfield – John Fogerty
What else could be number 1!!!
