Tina Turner Releasing Collection of Love Songs This February
By Shannon Carlin
What’s love got to do with Tina Turner’s upcoming album? A whole lot.
The singer is set to release an album titled Love Songs right in time for Valentine’s Day. But the new collection isn’t really new at all.
The 18-track collection—set to drop on Feb. 4— doesn’t include any new or unreleased material, but is filled with Turner’s past hits like “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “The Best,” “Private Dancer” and “I Don’t Wanna Fight.”
As Billboard points out, the 74-year-old singer is “happily retired” and has no new music in the works and isn’t planning on hitting the press circuit for this album.
Turner’s last studio album, Twenty Four Seven, was released in 1999. Since then she’s released two greatest hits albums— 2005’s All the Best and 2008’s Tina!—and a live album, Tina Live, that was based on her 2008-2009 tour.
