Well, it’s the end of another year. This is where we all say “This Year, I’m gonna ______”! Yeah, go ahead, fill in the blank for yourself. We all do it. The first day of the New Year is our time to start something new. To make a resolution to ourselves that we are going to lose weight, drink less soda, visit family more often, spend more time with the kids, you name it, the resolution lists are very long. I think it’s a good thing. I guess it gives you the chance to prepare for a start date and get your mind right. Or does it? One month, maybe two, sometimes three months go by and then it fades away. How did you do on last years resolution? Do you even remember what it was? If you did it, GOOD FOR YOU! If you didn’t, maybe it’s time to come down to reality and set some goals yu can achieve, rather than ones that are so lofty you give up right away!
Small victories are the start. Let me say this nice, if you set your goals to high and expect to get them done right away you will fail. So let’s not do that off the bat. Here, we are addressing the whole weight loss, getting in the gym, I’m going to exercise more, get me on a diet…resolution. Man, do the work out gyms make a mint this time of year! And for good reason. So, let’s break it down just a bit. The first pounds you shed will be pretty easy as it is water weight and just the plain fact that you are not jamming a ton of calories into your face. While those pounds are still pounds, understand that they are the simple ones! That’s great. KEEP PUSHING! This year, instead of another resolution, we are going to EXPERIENCE and EVOLUTION!
