ABBA Hints at 40th Anniversary Reunion

Sweden has become synonymous with pop music over the years, from ’80s hit-makers like Roxette to ’00s super-producer Max Martin to current dance-floor favorite, Robyn.

Still, it’s ’70s mega-stars ABBA who stand as the act to first snatch the world’s pop music crown in the name of Sweden. Thanks to worldwide smash hits like “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia” and “Take a Chance on Me,” the vocal group has sold close to 400 million albums around the globe (and still counting!).

Now, the band seems to be contemplating a reunion next year to mark the 40th anniversary of winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with the single “Waterloo.” Mind you, ABBA has not performed live together since 1982.
