The Beatles and Paul McCartney have influenced more musicians than any one in the world. Other than Elvis Presley, no one even comes close.
But who influenced Paul during his early years? There are obvious choices judging by some of the musical choices he made with The Beatles and o his solo records. Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and his own tribute to Fats Domino with ‘Lady Madonna’.
But there was at least one not so obvious choice that Paul mentioned in an interview disc released to radio stations in the early 80’s.
The last name he mentioned completely caught me off guard.
