Bust out the deep fryers because it’s that time of the year. That’s right the AZ State Fair is back in town!
Did you know we’ve had a State Fair longer than we’ve been a state? The fair started in 1884 and Arizona became a state in 1912! And for the past 129 years the State Fair has kept the public entertained by moving forward with 21st century innovations while keeping a hold onto some traditions.
With things to see and enjoy like the Great American Petting Zoo, The Great American Duck Race, a Secret Circus, rides to climb on like High Fly’n Zip Lines, Mach 1, Quad Runners, VW Bugs, Insanity and Farm Tractors. Not to mention the fair food and concerts, it’s easy to see why the Arizona State Fair never disappoints.
And this year they have the Star Trek: The Exhibition where you can see all kinds of memorabilia from the various television shows and movies.
Reminiscent of the Star Trek history the was housed in Vegas, Star Trek: The Exhibition has the updated timeline and even an opportunity to visit the Bridge from Star Trek The Original Series, and you can swing over to Engineering and Sick Bay from Star Trek The Next Generation and even take a shuttle ride through a simulated adventure.
So if you are heading to the State Fair while it’s in town Star Trek: The Exhibition is worth the price of admission ($5). You can even pick up a tribble to take home!
