Much has been written about Linda Rondstadt’s health over the past few weeks, but not much has been said about her new autobiography ‘Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir’.
At this point I haven’t read it, don’t have a copy yet, but Saturday will be a great time to pick one up, as Linda will signing copies of her book this Saturday night at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe.
Producer Peter Asher told me she was his favorite singer – quite a compliment considering the roster of artists he’s produced.
With her singing voice silent due to the Parkinson’s diagnosis this will be one of the few opportunities the public will have to show support for the Tucson native (now living in San Francisco) who has accomplished so much: 12 Grammy awards, 2 Academy of Country Music Awards, an Emmy Award, Tony and Golden Globe nominations, 32 albums on the Billboard album chart, and 40 singles on the Billboard singles chart.
