The Wizard Of Oz “Hanging Munchkin” Story – Real Or Fake?

With  a re-release of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ in 3-D this weekend at Imax theatres, it should be easier to spot the controversy that was stirred up shortly after the movie’s completion..

It all started when an unnamed collector  claimed his old VHS copy of the film shows a “hanging munchkin” image just to the right of the tin man.  He further contended it was removed for the DVD release.

Let me show you both, and a discussion that surrounds this story that has been going around since the release of The Wizard Of Oz in 1939.
