World Trade Center Time Lapse 2004-2013
On a day that we will never forget we can see nine years worth of progress on the new World Trade Center building in less than two minutes.
Construction began on April 27, 2006 and on May 10 of this year, the final component of the skyscraper’s spire was installed, reaching the symbolic height of 1,776 feet, making it the tallest building in New York City.
The construction effort to memorialize and rebuild following the horrible events of 9/11/11 is finally taking its final shape.
The structure built at a cost of around $4 billion is expected to open late this year or early next year.
we may have been down for a bit, but we are NEVER out!
