How quick are we to criticize? How many times have you been told “No” before you were given a pat on the back for doing the right thing?
How many people do things, not because they are supposed to or that they were told to do it, but because it was the RIGHT thing to do? In China Grove, North Carolina a family was having dinner at a restaurant. They have an eight year old son named Riley who has special needs.
Apparently Riley got “a little rowdy” while eating dinner and his mother was a bit worried that he was disturbing the other customers. She did all she could to calm him down and make him relax. Not soon after, the waitress came over with a note from another customer in the restaurant. The note said that their bill was PAID and it read “God only gives special children to special people.”
The mother, Ashley England said, “They made me cry, blessed me more than they know – I felt like out of all the rude negative comments that we are faced these outweighs them. The people who care!”.
I agree. Stop and think about it. It was the RIGHT thing to do.
No one asked them to do it. They just did it. It was not about recognition, or anything of that nature. What a great story.
