1924 – Jim Reeves (‘He’ll Have To Go’, ‘Distant Drums’ – died 1964)

1940 – John Lantree (The Honeycombs – bass guitar – ‘Have I The Right’)

1942 – Issac Hayes (‘Theme From Shaft’ – died 2006)

1947 – James Pankow (Chicago – trombone)

1948 – Robert Plant (Led Zepplin)

1949 – Phil Lynott (Thin  Lizzy – bass guitar)

1952 – Doug Fleger (The Knack – vocals, guitar)


1980 – John Lennon began recording his final album ‘Double Fantasy’.  Released on November 17, just two weeks before he was killed in New York, it would eventually win a Grammy for album of the year.

1969 – Ironically, exactly 11 years earlier, after completing ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’ the Beatles worked on the running order for the ‘Abbey Road’ album.  It was the last time all four Beatles were together in Abbey Road Studios.
