What sad news and a huge blow to the entertainment world. The man who played Tony Soprano in the hit series “The Sopranos” has passed away at age 51.

James Gandolfini was vacationing in Italy when sources say he suffered a massive heart attack. He was scheduled to attend the Taormina Film Fest.

This comes as stunning news to all that were close to him. The actors that appeared on that show were very close from many years spent together on a show that broke all the rules and made history.

I was a huge fan of the show and have continued to follow him as an actor over the years. Talented is not quite enough of a word to describe him and the contribution he made to the film world and more.

He is known for his tuff guy character however, is described as a guy who lit up every room he entered and a total 180 from Tony Soprano.

He remarried in 2008 to a former model with whom he had a daughter just last Oct. He was also previously married with children. He will not only be missed by his family but those who became “family” over the years just working with him and coming to love him.
