This picture seems like it was taken yesterday. This is my daughter Mia. Her first and middle name is Mia Angelica, “My Angel”. I feel a little silly right now as I tear up writing this note. Everyone is proud of their children. All their accomplishments. The first picture on the fridge, the first day of “real school”, the skinned knees, the lost teeth for the tooth fairy. The days seem to go by so fast. Then the years too. I am truly a blessed Dad, husband, son, grandson…you name it. MY MIA will be graduating from 8th grade and soon will start a new chapter in her life…one I am ready for, but not ready for, HIGH SCHOOL. Mia is a straight ‘A’ student, cheerleader, and volleyball player. Most impotantly, she is my daughter who is growing up to be a wonderful woman. Her mother, my wife Sandra has been the guiding force in her life and the best Mom ever. Mother’s Day is coming soon as well, and all of these emotions will come up again. I guess this is an important crossroads in life. We want them to all grow up and be great citizens of this wonderful country. We want them to be successful, and the best at whatever they choose to do in life. I am so proud of her. I know you are proud of your children too. Call them today. Talk to them today. Say “I Love You” and give them a hug and tell them you are proud. I am as excited for her new chapter in life as she is! What a wonderful journey. This picture still seems like it was taken yesterday…below is her now with her little sister Sofia.
