I would bet I’ve played the song ‘Sweet Caroline’ for a thousand times on the radio since the song came out in 1969. It has taken on its own life with Red Sox fans who sing along with the recording at every home game. But there was never a more emotional performance that this past Saturday, when just days after the Boston bombings, Neil Diamond surprised the crowd at Fenway to sing it live with the park full of surprised fans.
