On January 22 Rhino Records will release a 4CD/1DVD Deluxe Limited Edition of Fleetwood Mac’s classic album “Rumors”. At a cost of around $100, it’s close to 20x over the original album’s average selling price of $5, but there’s more to this set that a Fleetwood Mac fan could have dreamed of.
First, a few facts about the original album:
Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumors” album was originally released on February 4, 1977. With sales of over 19,000,000 copies sold in the U.S. (40,000,000 worldwide), it spawned 4 top 10 singles – Go Your Own Way, Don’t Stop, Dreams, and a classic “b” side that wasn’t included on the album, “Silver Springs”. In 2001, the album was remixed in 5.1 surround sound and is now somewhat of a collector’s item.
The deluxe limited edition 35th anniversary set will be released January 22, 2013 on Rhino Records. Here’s what you get for the $100 price tag.
