With apologies to Al McCoy who is also on my list of all time greats, Vin Scully (like Al) hasn’t missed a step.  Vin has been with the   Dodgers organization since 1950 when they were the Brooklyn Dodgers, and he has done play by play since the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles in 1957.  His 63 year career with the team is the longest of any broadcaster in professional sports history.  Like the team or not, you have to give it up for the iron man of  baseball broadcasting who celebrates his 85th birthday today.

Last year on his 84th birthday, Sports Center put together his five best calls.  What a pro.
