INXS aren’t holding back when it comes to celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album KICK.
In honor of the milestone, the Aussie band has released three newly remastered editions of their 1987 album including a limited edition LP on red vinyl, a 25-track expanded Deluxe 2-CD set and a 32-track collector’s edition that includes a DVD.
But let’s break down each of these editions, shall we.
The Deluxe 2-CD set includes the remastered version of the original album, along with a bonus disc of early demos and outtakes along with live concert tracks, rare b-sides and remixes.
The Super Deluxe edition includes the two CDs mentioned above along with a third disc that features special single edits and bonus remixes of “Never Tear Us Apart,” “New Sensation,” and “Devil Inside.”
For super fans, the DVD gives them a look at never-before-seen footage filmed by the band themselves. This film, Through Our Eyes, takes fans behind the scenes of their 1987-1989 Calling All Nations World Tour.
The set also includes another DVD with unseen live-in-concert recordings, rare promos for the band and album, music videos, and a track-by-track documentary filmed during the late-80s to present on the making of the classic album featuring intimate interviews with the late Michael Hutchence–who died in 1997–and brothers Andrew, Jon and Tim Farriss.
Not to mention an 80-page art book that includes never-before-seen handwritten lyrics from the Hutchence family archives, previously unseen photos, diaries, a Kick sticker sheet and original tour poster. All of this could be yours for $69.95.
You got all that?
All three versions of KICK are available now at the band’s website.
