Bob Dylan has already gotten some attention for his rather violent video for “Duquesne Whistle,” the first single from his Tempest album. Now, there’s a “lyric video” for the same song that takes a cue from his classic video for “Subterranean Homesick Blues.” In that iconic clip, Dylan holds cue cards with the lyrics from his song. In the new video, fans photographed signs with the song’s lyrics.

The video was crowd sourced; fans submitted their photos to Instagram with the hashtag #DylanLyricPhotos.

Instagram is a social network that allows users to share photos with “followers.” The photos, generally taken on a smartphone (but could be taken on a regular camera and imported to the phone) can be altered via Instagram’s many filters, and are easily shared via Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
