John Lennon: The Gibberish At The End Of I Am the Walrus

This week in 1967, The Beatles “I Am the Walrus” was recorded over several sessions at Abbey Road studios.  Included in the Magical Mystery Tour, it became the group’s 56th chart single and their last of 1967.  Though the lyrics are subject to many interpretations, the noise during the fade of the song can be very simply explained, as it was by John Lennon.  The gibberish that sounds like a radio being played – is exactly that.
