The first time most of us heard the sound of a sitar, was on “Norwegian Wood” from The Beatles ‘Rubber Soul’.  Like it or not after that, it became a sound that personified the 60’s.  George Harrison was just learning to play the instrument when he brought it into Abbey Road studios for the recording.  The story of how he came to learn the instrument didn’t begin with the ‘Rubber Soul’ album, it all began on a movie set.
