August 22, 1956 – Elvis Presley begins work on his first movie, Love Me Tender. Originally titled “The Reno Brothers”, it was changed to take advantage of the song Elvis sang in the film.
August 22, 1962 – The first Beatles television footage was shot by Granada TV at a lunchtime session at The cavern Club in Liverpool with their new drummer Ringo Starr.
August 22, 1969 – The Beatles assembled at john Lennon’s home in Ascot, England for their last ever photo session.
