With the digital technologies available today, any sound can be altered to make a perfect recording. Even singers who can’t carry a tune in a bucket can have their voices processed to the point that it sounds entirely acceptable. But 45 years ago, The Beatles producer George Martin was presented with a problem by John Lennon that although would be a snap to fix today, was hampered by 1967 technology to make work. The challenge was to marry two seperate recordings John had made of Strawberry Fields Forever into one cohesive performance.
