Chicago Cubs fans were treated to some comedy this week. For a change, it wasn’t the actual game. This time, it was the starting lineup announcement, read by Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. Or, should I say “performed by?” They were in town to promote their new movie, “The Campaign.”
As any Cubs fan knows, the season will always be painful. I spent a rough 5 years in Chicago, much of that time at Wrigley Field…crying. So, why not lighten the mood with some comedy? Maybe our D-Backs should consider this. Yesterday’s 7-1 win over the Reds was nice. But, we’re still under .500. And, we just sent whiz kid starting pitcher, Trevor Bauer back to the minors. Come on guys…give us some comedy to divert our attention from the game!
