I know it sounds odd to write a blog about something that DIDN’T happen.  But, here we are 2/3 of the way through another Celebrity Death Trifecta, when BIG news broke about Eddie Murphy!  If you believe Twitter, he just made #3 on this CDT of actors:

1. Andy Griffith (7/3/12)
2. Ernest Borgnine (7/8/12)
3. Eddie Murphy (7/11/12)

According to Global Associated News (NOT a reputable source):

“Actor Eddie Murphy is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - February 3, 2012. The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.”

This is the THIRD time Twitter has posted an Eddie obit!  Rest assured, he’s OK.  It was all a hoax!  All of this reminded me of a classic bit from Saturday Night Live.  Do you remember the day Buckwheat Bought The Farm?
