Atlantic Records – 1974
The Rolling Stones have held our attention for almost 50 years, but word is coming out that they may be calling it quits for good in 2013. I suppose there’s not much left to prove: in 1986 they were honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award, and three years later they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Between 1964 and 1998, they placed a total of 60 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and during that same period, 41 albums on the Billboard Album Chart. But it may surprise you that this blues influenced group that some consider the worlds all-time greatest rock and roll band, has one member that hates rock and roll.
That fact came out during conversation from a mid 80′s promotional record on which that featured Mick Jagger asked other members of The Rolling Stones about their early influences, starting with Bill Wyman. If it isn’t Mick who hates rock and roll, who is it?
Here’s the answer.
