Birthdays today include Marilyn McCoo‘s husband Billy Davis Jr. (72), both of whom were one time members of The Fifth Dimension, Georgie Fame (The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde) is 69,  two bass guitarist players , Larry Taylor (Canned Heat  – Goin’ Up the Country) and John Illsey (Dire Straits - Money For Nothing) turn 63, Clash (Rock The Casbah) guitarist Mick Jones is 59, Chris Isaak (Wicked Games) is 56, and Patty Smyth of Scandal (The Warrier) blows out 55 candles today.

On this day in 1974, Cher divorced Sonny Bono after 10 years of marriage.  Four days later she married Greg Allman.  It would last off and on for three years.

June 26, 1977, Elvis Presley made his last stage appearance at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis.  Before the show his manager Tom Parker celebrated his 67th birthday and Elvis was presented with a plaque commemorating the two billionth record to come out of RCA’s pressing plant.

The video is pretty fuzzy, but here are moments from that historic last show, including his last performance of Can’t Help Falling In Love, and final exit.  Seven weeks later, he was gone.
