John Lennon didn’t want to do it but manager Brian Epstein convinced them to do the 1963 show for the Queen and the Royal Family.  The Beatles performance was noted for John‘s famous introduction to Twist and Shout which if you’ve never seen, is one of the greatest Beatles quips of all time.
