Today’s Fab 4 @ 4 features The Beatles All You Need is Love, which was recorded on this day in 1967.  The song was especially written for a live television broadcast that featured a gum chewing John Lennon.  I never figured out how anyone could sing and chew gum at the same time but as you’ll see in the video, he pulls it off.  Shortly after the broadcast, producer George Martin and The Beatles polished up the song a bit with re-takes and overdubs, so this original broadcast version may sound a little different from what you’re used to hearing.

Here’s the historic session of June 14, 1967.
