Happy Belated Birthday to E.T.! Not the TV show, the extra terrestial who touched our hearts and lives 30 years ago on June 11, 1982.

It was the highest grossing movie that year – bringing in about $792 million. The flick received nine nominations (Oscar), including Best Picture and Best Director for Steven Spielberg’s phenomenal vision.

I remember for the longest time they did not allow “E.T. The Extra Terrestrial” to air on cable channel, until recently! The 30th Anniversary Edition of “E.T.” will be available in October 2012 and will feature the intended original version of the film, which had a view edits on the 20th Anniversary edition – cutting out some of the movie’s classic lines and props (guns), which were digitally removed, to depict a “less violent” message to younger viewers.

Happy Birthday, E.T.!!!
