Lysa D.’s KOOL Kollective – 6/1/12

Happy Friday! Today’s KOOL Kollective group is one of my faves! The group was put together and organized by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards.

Chic had numerous hits and success in the disco/funk era from 1976. These hits include Le Freak, Dance Dance Dance and Good Times.

In 1996 while touring Japan, bassist Bernard Edwards died at the age of 43, from pneumonia…he was only 43.

Here’s “I Want Your Love,” which appeared on the album, C’est Chic (1978). The song peaked at#7 in the Billboard charts and hung for 19 weeks. The song has been covered by numerous artists such as Paul Rutherford (Frankie Goes To Hollywood) and Jody Watley. Enjoy!!!
