May 24 birthdays include Bob Dylan who turns 71 today, Blue Oyster Cult (Don’t Fear The Reaper) drummer Albert Bouchardt is 65, songstress Patti LaBelle (Lady Marmalade – On My Own), and Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson is 43.

On this day in 2003, Paul McCartney made his first-ever live performance in Russia.  It was a rainy day, but skies cleared as Paul hit the stage and rewarded over 20,000 fans who had braved the weather in Red Square with a  historic event that included an emotional performance of Back In The U.S.S.R.
