It’s been a long, long time since Conan O’Brien and David Letterman worked at the same network.  When Dave was still doing Late Night on NBC, Conan was writing for Saturday Night Live.  Conan then replaced Dave in 1993 when he crossed the street to CBS.  From Late Night to the Tonight Show (briefly), then to Conan on TBS, they’ve been competitors.  So, it’s no surprise the two have rarely appeared on television together.  This is about to change!

This Thursday, Conan will appear on The Late Show.  The last time this happened was in 1999, when Conan appeared on Dave’s show!  As far as I know, this is the first time the two will appear on TV together since that whole Jay Leno debacle with The Tonight Show back in 2009/2010.  Dave VERY publicly took Conan’s side in that matter.  I’m fascinated to see what they talk about this week.
