Bud Buschardt is one of my dearest friends in the world. We worked together at Dallas station WFAA in the mid 70′s. As hard core record collectors we spent a lot of time on the hunt for vinyl. I worked on the radio side and Bud was a top director on the tv side, and during the hunt we had a lot of time to talk. One week Bud put a picture on the wall of his home just beside his jukebox that blew me away – it was an autographed picture of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dick Clark [/lastfm]- the same picture that was featured on the TV Guide cover I’d saved. It was at that point we started talking about the influence[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Dick Clark[/lastfm] had on our careers, especially mine. A few minutes ago I called Bud to again get his take on what he was like away from the cameras and microphones – and his influence.
