First Hand Account Of Dick Clark Off Camera
Bud Buschardt is one of my dearest friends in the world. We worked together at Dallas station WFAA in the mid 70’s. As hard core record collectors we spent a lot of time on the hunt for vinyl. I worked on the radio side and Bud was a top director on the tv side, and during the hunt we had a lot of time to talk. One week Bud put a picture on the wall of his home just beside his jukebox that blew me away – it was an autographed picture of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dick Clark [/lastfm]- the same picture that was featured on the TV Guide cover I’d saved. It was at that point we started talking about the influence[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Dick Clark[/lastfm] had on our careers, especially mine. A few minutes ago I called Bud to again get his take on what he was like away from the cameras and microphones – and his influence.
