FOX has “American Idol” and “X-Factor.”  NBC has “The Voice.”  Now, ABC is getting into the singing competition arena.  The new show is called “Duets,” and features one of my heroes: [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lionel Richie[/lastfm]!

“Duets” hits the air this Summer, and stars not just Lionel.  But, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jennifer Nettles[/lastfm] from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sugarland[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Robin Thicke[/lastfm] and another singing competition champion: [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm]!

All those singers will look for new talent , and each will pick two partners to duet weekly.  At the end of it all, the big winner gets a Hollywood Records contract.
