Davy Jones, the lead singer of the 1960s rock band The Monkees has died of an apparent heart attack in Florida, according to ABC Newsnd various other media outlets. He was 66.
ABCNews.com says an official from the Martin County, Fla. medical examiner’s office confirmed confirmed Jones’ death.
TMZ.com also confirmed that Jones has died. He is survived by his wife, Jessica, and four daughters from previous marriages.
