Researchers at Virginia Tech used MRIs to determine how the brain processes things when people are in groups.
And they found that basically everyone in the group had significant drops in their abilities to solve problems. And as people got more frustrated with the meeting not going anywhere, their abilities kept going down.
And women were more susceptible to this effect than men.
