Candice Bergen & Bert Schneider in 1972

Bert Schneider was a pretty big deal – both in movies AND music.    He produced famous movies like “Easy Rider,” “Five Easy Pieces” and “The Last Picture Show.”  In fact, the Oscar winner is said to have inspired a whole new generation of independent filmmakers, labelled “New Hollywood.”  He is also one of the two men who created [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Monkees[/lastfm]!  So, you could say, he pre-fabbed the “Pre-Fab Four.”   Burt just passed away at age 78 of natural causes.
