Cards upset Eagles on the road
Alone at the top
By scoring twice Sunday, Larry Fitzgerald became the Cardinals’ outright leader in career touchdowns:
1. Larry Fitzgerald – 71
2. Roy Green – 69
3. Sonny Randle – 60
4. Ottis Anderson – 51
John David Crow – 51
6. Ollie Matson – 5
Watching a receiver bend his head backward to look for a ball is an uncomfortable sight for most coaches. But when the receiver is Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt goes to a happy place.
“He’s unbelievable at making those catches,” Whisenhunt said.
Fitzgerald made one of those catches, a 37-yarder that set up the Cardinals’ winning score against the Eagles on Sunday.
Quarterback John Skelton faced heavy pressure, then lofted the ball as he was hit.
Fitzgerald scored two touchdowns, giving him 70 for his career and moving him past Roy Green for most in franchise history. In my opinion John Skelton has improved over last weeks win over St. Louis. Skelton was 21/40 for 315 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Skelton gets my vote for starter next week in San Francisco against the 49ers. What do you think?
