Elton inducts beach Boys into Rock and Roll HOF

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Elton John [/lastfm]was very much influenced by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Beach Boys[/lastfm], even before he began his recording career.  Pet Sounds is still one of his favorite albums of all time.  One [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Elton John [/lastfm]song in particular, was patterned after [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Beach Boys[/lastfm] harmonies, and even featured [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bruce Johnston[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Carl Wilson[/lastfm] on background vocals.
