What’s fluffy and white, has three legs, and can offer unconditional love to YOU?
At 2-Years of age, Oscar ran the streets nameless and untagged- he slept behind dirty dumpsters and the scraps of food he found were tossed to him by the litterbugs of the world.
As he hobbled to the curb after being hit by a car, the poodle mix wasn’t expected to survive but he now has a new leash on life, thanks to the Arizona Humane Society’s Second Chance Animal Hospital™. After his severely injured leg was amputated he’s never looked back and he’s anxiously waiting to start the next chapter in her life with someone who loves him- even with just three legs.
It won’t take much effort to teach this already well-mannered doggie the basic commands and he’s already mastered the “sit” command thanks to AHS volunteers. He will race out the dog door to play with small rope or a stuffed toy, roll in the grass, or simply accompany his owner while they complete yard work. He loves going for walks, and he seems to be leash trained as well. He is a little shy around other dogs and children. A family introduction is required to ensure a good match.
He available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope facility located at 9226 North 13th Avenue in Phoenix.
His adoption fee is $110 and includes his neuter surgery, vaccines, a colorful leash and collar with AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about this pet, please call (602) 997-7585 ext 1045 and ask for animal ID number A369885 or log on to www.azhumane.org.
