To commemorate the special reissue of the entire Pink Floyd catalog, the band’s famous inflatable pig immortalized by 1977’s Animals, floated around a factory in England Monday to recreate the album’s cover.
Click the photo for a larger version, and to get a better idea of how well they recreated album cover. This particular flying pig was a replica – the original one was what the event planners wanted, but it was too leaky to actually be used.
Photographer Howard Bartrop, who originally snapped the photo used for the Animals cover, talked to The Telegraph about the story of the original Pink Floyd pig and its adventurous flight over England after coming detached at the original photo shoot. Watch his story in the video below.
